the flywheel to the the rear tires. New clutch, prop shaft, diff rebuilt, rear drive axles rebuilt, etc. Even a new 97+ trans! All done in the name of removing any freeplay when I got on and off the throttle at lower speeds. The differential still has some slack or freeplay. The tech says this is within spec and showed me some other diffs for examples. Its not much, but I still wish the set up would be smoother when backing off the throttle, then adding throttle. There is a bucking sensation, and I bet that is what you are also experiencing. I agree with you however, there is too much freeplay in the diff. I think the ring and pinion can be adjusted with spacers to remove some of this freeplay, but I haven't gotten around to pulling the diff again.
